So Saturday we had a good old barn raising at our house. About 5 guys came over to help Mike lift the kids play barn. Now when you drive by and peak into our back yard you will see a little red barn, along with the trampoline, tennis court, mama in the hammock and a barking dog. Yes our back yard is free for all to see in. Oh well we have nothing to hide.

Emery participated in the Stardust Dance Clinic on Friday. They had three hours to learn a routine and then performe at half-time during the basketball game. She did so awesome! Saturday we took a day trip to see the Lighting of the town of Leavenworth. Lot's of sweets, crowds, crowds and more crowds. The kids got tired quick but I think they had fun. Their favorite happened outside of the crowd on a horse-drawn-sleigh ride. Mike's idea of artistic portraiture.

The Kids Praises Choir put on an awesome Christmas program on Sunday. All the kids were dressed as toys that came to life in a department store. My day started at 5:45 this morning. Up on my own with an urgency to get going and run some errands before the family awoke. Mike, who usually takes the kids to school, had to drop Pip off at grandmas and then the kids at school. I was off to set up for my booth at the career fair for juniors and seniors in the area. Hundreds of them. I stood until 3 pm answering questions about my business.

Today after church the kids and I headed out to get some decorations to "harvestize" our house! We came home with bright flowers and tons of sparkly orange pumpkins! Sliding right into 4-year-old preschool and tap class all in one day! Preschool was a breeze since she knew what to expect. She was a bit more shy with dance, but still went right in and got busy. She took it pretty seriously too making sure she got the steps right. It helped her to have her tongue sticking out apparently.

Ty Ty had his 7th b-day party this weekend. It was a skate, bike theme which included a Card Rally (or the more adult name, a Poker Run). Well, another party down. This year it was a Jonas Brother's theme at the pool. The girls (and Ty the lone boy) all had fun despite that their cupcakes were all melted. Hours of slaving over fondant resulting in 24 droopy microphones. O'well, I tried. And 8-year-olds don't seem to care. We rented a pontoon boat one day. Of course the one day the weather turned to cold and rain. But we made the most of it. The kids tubed in the rain, we explored the lake. Did some playing and fishing at the sandbars. Good times.

We went to Vashon Island for the weekend to celebrate the 4th of July with some old, and some new friends. It was so fun, and so relaxing! And I came home probably 10 lbs heavier! Ugh!
