Going Green

So Mike and I are in the middle of a redecorating project in our living room. We are kind of getting tired of the Red so we are opting for a fresh new look of Grass Green! I literally had Mike pick a piece of tall grass from the Home Depot parking lot to match the paint swatch with.

We, meaning Mike, will also be building a new entertainment center for our new tv (yet to be purchased). I have been planning what pictures to display from our family photoshoot. Im leaning towards all family pictures instead of the individuals because I have so many of the kids individually on the wall elsewhere. But the question is, canvas wraps or framed enlargements?

I had to play a little with the dimensions to know what size prints I need to order. Here's what I have been doing today along with my 6 loads of laundry.

I have the option of doing a custom word wrap around the edges of the outer two canvases.

These canvas are sized 20x20 and 20x40 for the center. Got to go Big!

Again the middle one is a 20x40 framed with 4x4 frame. The two outers are 16x16 with custom made frames (by mike of course ;).

Here's my delima...if you seen my house and know my style it is kind of eclectically hodge-podge. But it works for the most part. Much of my furniture is black, but I do have some wood antiques mixed in as well. All my moldings and doors are white. I am trying to decide if the entertainment center and/if matching frames should be white to go with the molding or black to go with some of the furniture, or wood. That's what I am dealing with.

Go Rebels!

The Eastern Oregon All Stars got to cheer at the fair on Saturday. They were so cute! I was thinking that the 3 & 4 year old class wouldn't really do their cheer...but they did awesome in front of the big crowd. Sadly, this was the last time Emery will be cheering for a while. She decided she no longer wants to be on the team. I'm thinking it's a combination of her little friend no longer being in it as well as the fact that its harder work then she wants to do. Piper on the other hand is still loving it. She doesn't always want to do the hard work...but it sure is fun playing with her friends. And she love showing off her moves when she gets home. Plus mommy loves how it is helping with her strength.
More fair pictures to come.

Random Bath...Random Blog

Im bloggin in my bathroom right now as I watch my weenie girl take a random middle of the day bath. It's refreshing to give her a bath in the middle of the day...it's not rushed with a looming bed time or morning appointment. She doesnt have to fight for room or toys with her siblings. Just her and I in the bathroom. Why a middle of the day bath you ask? One, as a form of entertainment on a stormy day and two...because she was stinky! She scrapped her knee a couple of nights ago and major drama ensues every time we try to wash her. I think she's finally over the trauma.

So there you have a random blog about a random bath. Im apparently in a random mood today...more evidence of that on my photography blog.

Jump Back to July

I completely forgot to do my July wrap-up last week...but since I posted most of my July pictures with all my vacation post I thought I would just share pictures from this field trip I took with some of my girlfriends and their kiddos.

Up to the Mountains to Catch Crawdads. We didnt catch any. It rained on us most the time. But we all still had fun. Oh what we wont do for our children.

Lindsay...in her natural form. Camera to face...i can relate.

Can you tell im from Seattle...always prepared with an umbrella.

I love this last picture. These two first became friends when they were just babies. Judah was probably a toddler...but Emery wasnt even one yet. Now look how big they are. I sure I'll have another picture of them together when they are teenagers.

I love weekends like this...

I had the best weekend! Nothing really too planned out...but it all unfolded perfectly.

Friday:

~Coffee with the ladies. I cut that short because I felt the stress of things I needed to do...which included a trip up to tri-cities for a big Costco run.

~On my way up to Costco, by myself by the way since Mike wasnt working, I get a call from the best husband in the world telling me he made an appointment later that afternoon up at the spa for a massage. Ahh...HEAVEN!!! It was so great..even with my minor freak out that I hadnt shaved my legs in weeks and it was a male masseuse. I just kept saying...I am sure he has seen much worse!

~I had some time to spare for a little antiquing...and came home not only with a load from Costco, but the cutest gold chair! Which you will not doubt either see sitting nicely in my kitchen or in future photo shoots!

Saturday:

~ We spent some time at the pool for a little friends b-day party. A relaxing afternoon, and then the Parade...Got to love small town parades. Then out to pizza with friends and a late Smores session at the farm.

A little bit of a sugar crash was happening here:

I love all that this picture may fortell...

Sunday:

~We slept in...then went to late church.
~Watched an afternoon movie and then napped the kids. I love it when they actually nap!
Emery however has far grown out of those...so she spend some time cleaning up our whiskers with a spoon ;). Then a leisurely late afternoon with me on the hammock.

It hit me that we only have 3 more weeks of summer. Which is unbelievable and sad at the same time. I am not ready for it to end. Not ready to send my babies back to school. Not really to have to be out of the house by 7:45 this year for the school bell. Not ready for them to grow so...

Under My Desk

I am finally starting to be able to breath and sleep at night since my work load after returning from vacation is reducing back to normal. Today as I sit here doing just a few things at my desk my kids decided to join me. I am typing with go-go gadget arms over them.
On a side note: I haven't seen some of these supplies in over a year...I'm glad someone is able to enjoy my stamps.

She Makes Us Laugh

Okay, I am adding a bit of info for the photo. This was taken on Coronado at a very fun diner. We asked for child sized root beer floats for the kids. They said they only had one size. We assumed it would be sized for the average sized adult...and then we could just help them out. But low and behold they served us up these...sized for Andre the Giant.

Someone's been on my heart...

And as I listened to the music Mike is downloading in the background...this song hit me hard. And I wanted to share it for all of you, but especially to the one on my heart.

Stellar Kart Lyrics "Jesus Loves You"
Tell me what do you believe in
Does your life have rhyme or reason
Something in your heart that makes you care
I hope that you don't mind me asking
But I have got a burning passion
I need to know forever you'll be there
I can't make it clearer
Put it any other way
If you can't see the simple truth I do
Then there's nothing in this world that's left to say
But Jesus loves you
I know I don't have all the answers
And I have wasted many chances
To prove to you a faith that lives inside
I'm praying there will be a breakthrough
Cause I can't be the one to save you
God knows how many times I've tried
I can't explain
But I can't deny
So many times for you I've cried
And to see you on your knees tonight
I cant make it clearer
Put it any other way
To know you know simple truth I do
And to know that your forever has been changed
Cause Jesus loves you

Vacation 08~Spending time with old friends

This may be my last official vacation post. Although there will probably be more random pictures here and there. I would have been finished with my vacation post a couple days ago if some certain friends of mine (pictured at bottom) hadnt introduced me to "FaceBook". It's been a tad distracting.

We had the opportunity to spend some quality time with friends from SD (college friends) as well as friends up in Seattle when we returned there for a week. I love old friends!

Here we are spending some time with the Jason, Micki and Megan. Piper and Megan got along so well. It kind of makes me all smiley in side to think of Jason and Mike back in their prime...and then now family men with sweet little girls close to the same age. (those who know Mike and Jason back in the day would smile too) Im sad I didnt get a picture with my friend Micki since we got to spend lots of time together!
Here we are enjoying dinner with the Kerrs. Thanks Tim & Brandy for sharing your home with us!

Here's Timmy entertaining the ladies as usual. The party has changed a bit though...
And here we are back up at Grandma Beaches with Maggie, Ava and Cameron.

And I love love dinner out with the girls. We laugh alot! And they try to fill all the holes in my memory. Annie I finally remembered the night you were talking about when we went and played pool...vaguely though.
