The kennel was the ticket for us. The puppy probably needs to live in the kennel inside the house for awhile. As soon as it comes out of the kennel... it has to go straight outside. We made Katie sleep in a locked Kennel for a VERY VERY long time.
Yes Mav sleeps in his crate and actually likes it alot...it's when he is awake during the day that he sneaks off to go potty if we dont take him out ALL THE TIME!
I want to get to the point where he knows to go to the back door when he has to go potty.
The crate was also the ticket for us! Annie stayed in her crate at ALL times, unless our eyes were on her. If we were done playing, or watching her, she went back in the crate. It only took us, very, very few potties in the house, before she learned. But, another thing is, in my opinion it is almost impossible to potty train a puppy that young, cause their bladders are SO tiny. I would just keep her in the crate, or outside for a month or so. Another thing that I think helped, was that Annie was born outside, and spent alot of time outside during the day, after we got her, so she was just used to going outside. Really, I think I remember her going potty in the house 3 or 4 times ever, and now she sleeps in her crate at night with the door open, and NEVER potties in the house. CRATE, CRATE, CRATE. It is your best friend!

I have heard that puppies can wait one hour for how many months of age they are. So... Maverick is two months old so he should go out every two hours.
oh...good tip. Time to go check on him then!
No words of wisdom from me but I emailed my mom for ya! They have trained many dogs...
Laughing that you changed your description from "Loved" to "Potty trainer"!:)
