Digital Memory

Well since my memory pretty much consist of snapshots, and since my snapshot machine is at the Canon Doctor still I think I need to list some of the things that "Stella" has missed out and therefor my memory may miss out on.

  • The blooms of my first tulips.
  • My Japanese cherry that has bloomed but the blooms are now gone with the wind.
  • The painting of the kids barn/playhouse. It's red now, very cute.
  • A visit from cousin Riley from Las Vegas.
  • The arrival of Lulu and Harley (Angela's pups)
  • An outing to the Children's museum.
  • Lot's of outside play.

So in the mean time I have been getting inspired by some of my favorite photographers. I can not wait to get the camera back and start practicing. I also have a few photo shoots lined up already, so that is exciting! Here is a few of my favorite photog's.

The Image Is Found ~ This is a very young married couple with a spunky little 3 year old girl. They do primarily weddings...amazing weddings. Although I don't do weddings I absolutely am drawn to their style...it is so out of the ordinary. Check them out!

Miss Audrey Woulard ~if you know anything about children's' photographers you are likely to know about Audrey. I would love to be able to take her workshop in Chicago some time!

Indie Anna ~ and just one more for now. Love her colors and adorable little models.

So I have some News....

First of all...I have to eat my words in these two post Slow Down Sister & Just To Clarify (although I still feel like I am choosing to slow down a bit by budgeting my time wisely).

Anyway...we have a totally new look to Defining Details....and a new addition to the business as well. Maybe you should go check it out... WWW.DEFININGDETAILS.COM

Oh and thanks Mike for all your hard work on the new site...I love my Web Master!

If I had...

an extra 750$ and children that didnt have dirty fingers and a husband who didnt mind the color yellow, I would have this.
But I dont have any of that...and that's okay, I would not trade it all for a funky fresh chair.
I miss this store. Anthropologie!

This Takes me Back.

I found this picture in a drawer today. I just had to share it. I think it is one of my all time favorites of me and my Sorority Sisters. My memory sucks so I am sure I might get some of the details wrong, but I am pretty sure it was taken the summer after graduation. We were at our friend's Amy and Will's wedding. I was a bridesmaid along with Molly and Jennifer.
Anyway, it just takes me back...so much has changed...I dont think there were any other girls in this pictured who were married, except maybe Sarah. Now I know of 9 here married and a combo of around 9 children...and one on the way (a leprechaun apparently ;). Im not sure how many of my sorority sister's actually read this blog...but if you do here's a shout out to you. We are approaching our 10th year out of college...we are getting old girls! And what was up with all the floral dresses?

Pippy's Tips

When Piper gets really excited you can see it all the way to the tips of her very long skinny fingers. These pictures are perfect examples of it. However, Piper isnt so excited today. She's got a nasty stomach flu. Poor girl...poor washing machine on the 4th load of icky laundry. So thankful for wood floors!!!

Sunshine!

It's been so nice...therefore we have been outside...therefore a lack in blog posts! Sorry my mind has been on other things lately...good things but I have gotten some emails from friends wondering where I have been and if all is okay. Sorry to worry you all :). Life is good...just enjoying it. We spent the weekend playing outside. We have 2 more days of school and the spring break!! Yeah, hopefully the weather will stay nice so we can play some more.

I just had to send "Stella" in to Dr. Canon. It is having some focus issues so I will be without a camera for a few weeks. Praying it makes it home in time for Easter...but that is wishful thinking. Well, I'll leave you will a some fun pictures of the kids enjoying the sun. We attempted to start teaching Emery how to ride her bike without training wheels. It didn't go over very well. How does one teach "balance"?

Thank you little Cadence for being a sweet little model for me today! The skittle's were worth it huh? Sorry Stacy, I just couldnt resist posting this one. A warm Sunday.

Just wanted to share some pictures of the unusually warm Sunday we had. We spent it out on the farm just relaxing and letting the kids play. Man they slept so good that night.

Oh, and as you can tell, someone got over her fear of bunnies.

Art!

We had the 3rd Annual Education Foundation Art Auction last night. It's a great event raising money for art education in our town. I wanted to share some of the pieces I, Mike and my parents had up for auction.

My Blue Adobe Door.

My Parents doors from the Cotswolds. The same man bought all three doors. He was surprised to learn after the auction that we were related. He said, "Well, they like doors." And apparently so did he.

The Day Cabins, by my parents on the same trip to England.

And Mike's two pieces. "Last Train to Nowhere." and a custom poster. Winning bid got a picture of their choosing done like the dog poster.

It's always a fun night out all dressed up with our friends.

She could be scarred for life.

Piper and Rosco, Dylan's new pet.
And I need to appologize to Angela. Someone pointed out to me how the bunny could have been hurt badly if it jumped or fell of the stool. I wasnt even thinking of that...sorry, because that would have been sad.

Okay, now come on!!!

It's a nice day outside. Perfect for a picnic. The kids finish up and come inside asking for more. I told them they can have cheese or fruit. A couple of minutes later I go outside and find this on the cement.

I was assuming they would know I was talking about their cheese slices or cheese sticks! I guess Piper had some fun walking around taking bites out of a block of cheese as big as her head!

A $7 dollar block of cheese mind you!!!

Thank You "Grandma Lives Here"

I dont say it enough!! Thank you Thank you to my wonderful Mother-In-Law. This weekend has been fabulous. Yesterday she took the kids most of the day so Mike and I could just hang out together. We went shopping for new bedding. (side note, we ran into our pastor and his wife at the mall, they told us to "have fun" with the new bedding. Ha! How cute are they?)
And tonight grandma is taking the kids all night!!! How awesome is that!!? I really do have a fabulous MIL, and not just because she like's to take the kids! She is one of the most giving woman I have ever met! And boy do the kids ever know it..Emery has a shirt to prove my point. We love you!

If my walls could talk....

...Oh wait, now they do! So remember when I said I wanted to paint my paint my banner slogan on my walls? Well I have! Actually Mike did. Since that post I have heard of a couple different companies that make vinyl lettering for walls, and even custom ones. I even found out I have a friend that sells them. I have been taking my own sweet time on figuring out how to make a custom order out of my "Motto." In the mean time Mike was hired by a local lady to design a logo and website for her new business which happens to be vinyl lettering. So he surprised me today with this! I love it!

(and to my friend who sells it...I promise I will order something from you too, because I am now addicted and want them on all my walls!!)

Party Girl!

A Party for our little Minne Mouse.

After getting all huffy at Safeway because they were less than helpful on making a minnie mouse cake, i decided to just do one myself. So mom and I were figuring it out last minute, and we were pretty proud of the results!

Mike made a fun bean bag toss game, which doubled nicely as a Photo prop!

A picture of Piper saying "Shoes" as she opened one of her gifts, then her running around in her new Vans. So cute!

And since the last few post have been all about the Pips, heres one of my other children patiently watching their sister shine in her moment.

Happy Birthday Sweet Piper!

This morning as she lay in bed with us, I leaned over and said "Happy Birthday Piper!" She smiled really big and said...."Cake?" Not yet honey. "Prize?"

My kind of girl!
