Theology from Ty

The last couple times Ty has come home from school he has had this to share with me:

"Mom, you know what? Before Jesus was on this earth, and before his skin was even putted together on his body, and before I was even bornded (born), guess what?...." He stillded already knewd my name, forever and ever."

He finds this fact so amazing. That Jesus knew his name before mommy and daddy even knew it. Pretty cool and amazing indeed.

Designated Driver.

What a difference 12 hours makes....

The night before the mini and I driving 3 ever so slightly intoxicated grown men (Brady, Luke and Don.) home from the game....all barking out directions that I did not need.

....and then the next morning...three very quietly entertained angels (ha!).
Always the chauffeur!

Mommy, can I go to Miss Shannon's house everyday?

Katie, despite the chipmunk cheeks, she really only had two, one in her mouth and the other still clutched very tightly in her little fingers as i post this. I promise I wont make a habit of feeding your sweetie candy...but just had to for this blog post ;).

Allergic to Home.

Most of you know I have severe allergies during the summer months. I have since moving here 5 years ago. And every year I put off doing anything significant about it because I was either pregnant, nursing, or just counting down the days till the season was over. Well after my worst season so far I finally decided to do something about. That and the fact my husband heard an add for an Allergy & Asthsma Specialist.

So today was my day for testing. There were a few things I knew I was allergic too, but in no way did I expect to be allergic to everything!!! All Weeds, All Trees, All Grasses. HELLO!!!!! Move this girl to the Arctic!!! Okay, the "silver lining" I am not allergic to dusts, molds or my puppy!

I am allergic to:

  • my two sweet kitties.

  • the vast field behind my house that my kids, cats and pup play in all day.

  • the grass I roll around on with my kids.

  • the weeds i havent pulled up this year in my flower beds.

  • the crops my dear friends make their living off of.

Pretty much I am allergic to my town or geographic region I call home. So my options are:

  • Moving. (not going to happen)

  • Suffer and medicate every summer with drugs that dont seem to ever work

  • Or start the long process of Allergy shots! (a 5 year process)

So there you have it, for a few months I will travel every week 40 miles for two shots. Ouch! Then every two weeks, then every 3, and then once a month. But hopefully this process will help improve the quality of life I have every July through September. Holy Cow what is this going to cost?!!!

(my spell check isnt working so deal with the errors!)

Here Come The COUGS.....

See you all at the game!!

A PSA and some Details...

Just a post to share some information.

One: Mike wanted all to know he just recently found out that if you are on the "no call list" for solicitors, that list expires after 5 years, you can check on it and re-up. This is for those who despise "those kind of calls"

Two: For anyone who may be wondering if I am doing Wink's Ink this year for holiday cards, I am not. This was a hard decision for me, but after starting my photography business, the concept behind Wink's Ink would be a conflict of interest for my business. I made the decision to strive for excellence in print quality of all my portraits and products by maintaining control of where they are printed. It would not be a fair or a wise business decision to allow the same card designs to be used for Wink's Ink and let those people print them off themselves, but not allow a print release for my photography client's Christmas cards.

By ensuring top quality printing of holiday cards, the prices will be higher than if you printed them at Costco. And I do understand if some of my Portrait Customers do not want to pay those prices. Please do not think you will hurt my feelings if you order holiday cards somewhere else. Also for those of you who like to design your own card or like to send thousands out and want to cut cost, I do offer digital images once specific sales are met. If you want the details for that please email me.

Hope that makes sense and please stay tuned to my photo blog for more information on my holiday specials.

He's getting so big!

Love it when he cocks his head to listen to you. Im a total softy for that.
Emery has the whole "alpha" down pat. She's very stern with him...but also likes to play rough with him like her daddy.
He will be three months old next week. He loves to dig, and chew. We have a toy attrition program in this house...if it's left on the ground and gets chewed...o'well, one less toy. He's doing much better with the potty thing, knows to bark at the back door. He weighs 22 pounds.
he can:
Sit
Lay Down
Fetch
Shake Hands.
He's a smart dog that loves lots of attention. Even Grandma and Grandpa Beach like him and agreed to puppy sit on Saturday when we are at the Coug Game. Maverick will love the beach!!!

An New Phase in my Life as a Mom...

Packed Lunch! I have a thing against Hot Lunch in the schools. Personally I think it is one of the causes of childhood obesity. I know the schools do all they can, but it just doesnt measure up to what a mama can pack. (please ignore the candy bar in the picture ;) I did tell her she could choose one hot lunch a week. I was afraid she would feel left out from the vast majority that eats hot lunch at our school. But so far she hasnt asked....so i wont remind her.

Pre-School

First day! Loved the message on the reader board this morning. Love how comfortable my son is at this school with his new teachers, who already knew and loved him from when they had Emery. Love what they will teach my little tender hearted man.

Pirates & Princesses

Yet another joint party for the kids. I tried to wrap my head around the idea of doing two parties...but the thought of one party alone was overwhelming to me this year. So Mike stepped in and planned it. And he did a great job!!

Little princesses and Pirates everywhere! These two where taking a break to concentrate on the treasure map.

And this one because we are dorks! (Mike looks more like a Shriner than a pirate. Not sure what I look like...)

Guess Who's Bloggin Now!!!

Leslie!
