Sunshine!

It's been so nice...therefore we have been outside...therefore a lack in blog posts! Sorry my mind has been on other things lately...good things but I have gotten some emails from friends wondering where I have been and if all is okay. Sorry to worry you all :). Life is good...just enjoying it. We spent the weekend playing outside. We have 2 more days of school and the spring break!! Yeah, hopefully the weather will stay nice so we can play some more.

I just had to send "Stella" in to Dr. Canon. It is having some focus issues so I will be without a camera for a few weeks. Praying it makes it home in time for Easter...but that is wishful thinking. Well, I'll leave you will a some fun pictures of the kids enjoying the sun. We attempted to start teaching Emery how to ride her bike without training wheels. It didn't go over very well. How does one teach "balance"?

Mike never even wanted to try to learn to ride without training wheels before his sixth birthday. He told us as soon as he turned six he would know how since everyone he knew over the age of 6 knew how! Actually, I think all our kids learned the balance part by coasting downhill. That way they could ride with their legs outstretched for balance. Once they got the hang of that, they added the pedaling part.

First... that pic of Ty is so sweet. We stole an idea of Seseme Street... we watched that in some village the village people teach their kids balance by removing the pedals off the bike... and lowering the seat. The kids have to keep their balance tipping back and forth touching the ground. After the balance piece is learned they would add back the pedals and whala! they could ride. We did it with Judah and he learned fast. Now... Hannah is in the middle of "no pedals" right now... and she has lost interest in the bike. who knows... maybe it was just timing.

The sun has been awesome! I don't have any advice with the bike! I have been struggling getting Kyler to ride a trike, so I am a long ways from working on no training wheels! =)

I'm jealous of your sunny weather...no such luck here! Piper's "bike"(lack of a better word ;)) sure looks familiar! Wish we were close enough to see her and Daisy race on them!! Enjoy your Spring like weather.....and good luck to Stella!

Love Ty's shoes, looks like Wazzu shoes to me.
Balance comes when it wants to but she will get it if she just keeps at it. All of a sudden she will take off. It kind of does a number on the persons back that is helping out.
