Struggling with Discipline

We have been struggling with finding the best form of discipline for a child that is very strong. We've tried everything short of beatings and are still searching for answers. But coming home to this the other night was very sweet. Wish I could say the next day was better...but nope.

Sorry, wish I had some good advise for you. I've got nothin'! Dealing with the sneakiness in our oldest a little these days too.

the first grade teacher in me loves that you posted this... precious writing and I'm very impressed with the spelling :)
... not sure what to tell you about "sneakiness"... my motto these days - trust, pray, and continue to be the best parents she could ever have... and this too shall pass.

Okay you have to frame that one day and give it to her when she is older.
Read Romans 7:14-20, it will help you understand what you are dealing with. Be consistant, firm, fair and loving (lots of love), she will get it eventually.
God is not through with little Miss Emery yet.

PS., this gives us something to pray for when we are praying for our grandchildren.

Okay that is so sweet that she wrote that! You guys are such wonderful parents...I know I will be calling you someday (soon) for advice on my "strong" daughter!

That's sweet. I can't believe Emery is so strong-willed ... hmmmm ... I wonder where she gets that from?

I just read this again. You should really save it and frame it and give it to her when she has her first "perfect" child:)
