A Style All Her Own.

This would be called the Crown of Barrettes. And its Emery's new do. She thinks it is the prettiest hairstyle around. And I just dont have the heart to tell her the truth. So she goes everywhere like this. To school, church, the store. And she works it! Today it was 11 very big, very bright, very sparkely heart clips.
Ahh...a lesson in letting your children find their own groove and be confident in it. (I do however tell everyone I know that I Do Not do her hair!!) Piper wasnt really feeling this style.

What a fashion statement! It looks like Piper is thinking that it hurts to be beautiful:)

Love the "style"!
I'm sure that some of her girl classmates will give it a try.
Has Ty tried it yet?? :)

You never know she may be cutting edge right?!?!? Somebody has to be the first one to try something, right! Well even so, nothing like dancing to the beat of your own drum! The confindence that wells up from the Holy Spirit inside her little heart! You go Sister E!

On a side, I'm quite impressed that she can get that many clippies to stay in her hair!

Okay, I remember telling your teachers I didn't do your hair or dress you anymore also. She must get this creativity from you. I remember the day you thought you looked so cute in your outfit, you looked like a hooker, Mark just about had a fit and I didn't let you out of the house looking like that knowing you would be sent home for sure, you were broken hearted.

Love it. You go, Emery. If anyone can pull it off, it is Emery!

Sitting here, cracking up at the fact that your mom just told you that you looked like a hooker!! :)

We've all had those moments where independence strikes us. Let her do her own thing...she'll figure it out ;)

oh, my.... I am laughing out loud at your mom's comment... and at the same time TOTALLY connecting with you on how it feels to in public to allow kids to make their own fashion choices. It hurts momma's pride... but it so good for the kids. :-)That's awesome that you are allowing her freedom!

Oh Shany... I am so cracking up too! I know I will be calling you when my daughter(s) are doing the same thing someday! I am such a control freak and will have to let it go!
You go Eme!
Love, Les

This is the cutest thing I have seen in a while! I love the contrast between Eme's smile and Piper's look of "What the heck is going on?" Classic! What sweethearts!

Yes, I remember that "hooker" day as well. At least Eme's just being creative with her hair. I think it's hilarious.
